Mud crab

Future project. A planned 5,000-tonne mud-crab plant in a vertical system.

This is a future project. It is not a current offering.

The plan includes mud crab at 5,000 tonnes in a vertical system. Crab is not finfish: it would not be grown in the cages or fed on the same schedule, and is planned as its own building on the island.

The figure stored in the desk is a design capacity for a future project.

The process

How this plant is run, or is planned to run, step by step.

Each step is cultivation work — water, feed, transfer, ice — not a portrait of the company.

Give crab its own plant

01

Give crab its own plant

Mud crab is not finfish and would not be grown in the cages. It is planned as a separate building on the island, as a future project.

Use a vertical system

02

Use a vertical system

The later phase is drawn as a vertical system — stacked husbandry, not an extra ring at sea. Different water, different geometry.

Feed on a crab schedule

03

Feed on a crab schedule

Crab would not take the same pellet at the same hour as a sea-cage fish. Diet and timing would be its own.

Grow out in the building

04

Grow out in the building

Grow-out happens in the vertical plant, not in Gulf cages. The public capacity stored for this later phase is 5,000 tonnes.

Harvest from the system

05

Harvest from the system

When crab reach harvest size they would leave the vertical system for the planned island plant.

Prepare on the island

06

Prepare on the island

Raise it here, prepare it here, state Dalma — the planned rule for this future project.

In the chain

The plants, in the order they are planned to work.
