Invest in marine aquaculture on Dalma Island.
Aquafaq is building marine aquaculture off Abu Dhabi in phases. Phase 1 is sea cages; onshore plants and future projects follow. We welcome conversations with investors and partners.
Why invest
Food security, a real site, and a phased build.
UAE and GCC food security
The UAE eats a great deal of seafood and imports much of it. At the planning basis, consumption was put near 226,000 tonnes a year against about 3,250 tonnes from aquaculture. Locally raised marine fish supports national food-security goals.
Dalma Island, Abu Dhabi
A published lease of 250,000 m² of Arabian Gulf water for cages and 156,118 m² onshore, on an island with a harbour, a road and a living town.
A phased, de-risked build
Each phase is built on the one before it: sea cages first, then onshore plants after Phase 3, then future projects. Capital is committed step by step rather than all at once.
The phases
What exists now, and what is planned.

Phase 1 · Current
Sea cages — 5,000 tonnes
Floating circular cages in Gulf water off Dalma, at a design capacity of 5,000 tonnes. This is the current offering.

Later phases · after Phase 3
Hatchery, feed plant, processing
Planned onshore: a hatchery (40 million juveniles a year), a feed plant (60,000 tonnes) and a processing plant (20,000 tonnes). These are design capacities, not current operations.

Future projects
Shrimp and mud crab
Shrimp in recirculating water and mud crab in a vertical system, each planned at 5,000 tonnes.
