Onshore tanks can be heated, filtered and lit. A cage cannot pretend. Current, oxygen and temperature are the Gulf's. The work is to stock at a density the water will carry, to feed slowly, and to look — a diver, a slow fish, a reading — every day.
Design capacity of Aquafaq's cages is 5,000 tonnes. Once the hatchery and processing plants are built in later phases, juveniles and processing are planned on the same island.
